Terms of service

Last updated November 4, 2026

The agreement

These terms are between you, the Shopify merchant who installs Hatsembly, and StackSembly ("we", "us"), which operates it. By installing or using Hatsembly you accept them. If you use it for a business, you accept them for that business. Shopify's own terms also apply to your store and to apps you install.

The service

Hatsembly lets you build hat products from your own hat photos and artwork, list them on your Shopify store, and draw them live on your storefront. We may change, add, or remove features. If we remove something you rely on, we'll tell you first where we reasonably can.

Your content

  • You keep all rights to what you upload: hat photos, artwork, fonts, and designs. You give us permission to store, process, and display it only as needed to run Hatsembly for your store.
  • You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload, including vendor photos, fonts, and any artwork that isn't yours.
  • Logos your shoppers upload belong to them. You are responsible for what you accept and make for your customers, and for honoring their privacy requests through Shopify.

Acceptable use

Don't use Hatsembly to break the law, infringe anyone's rights, sell prohibited items, upload malware, or interfere with the service or with other stores. Don't try to get at data that isn't yours, and don't resell or copy the service. We may suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you why.

Fees

Any charges for Hatsembly are shown on its Shopify App Store listing and billed through Shopify, which also handles cancellations and refunds under Shopify's billing terms. If we change a price, we tell you before the change applies to you.

Ending

You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app. After you uninstall, your data is deleted as the privacy policy describes; products already on Shopify stay on your store. We may end the service for everyone with at least 30 days' notice.

No warranty

Hatsembly is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that pictures will match a finished hat exactly. Check your products before you publish them.

Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales, or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about Hatsembly is limited to what you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we update the date at the top and tell installed merchants about material changes before they take effect. Using Hatsembly after that means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about Hatsembly or these terms is brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction.
