Cart preview pictures and Picture swatches are not in Add block.
They are app embeds, not blocks. Open the App embeds panel behind the icon at the bottom of the theme editor's left sidebar, or use Turn on next to each step on Hatsembly's Home page. If the panel says no installed app has embeds, reload the theme editor page.
Which themes work?
Online Store 2.0 themes, which includes all of Shopify's free themes. Hatsembly hooks into the standard Shopify product form, not into any one theme's design, and its storefront pieces take your theme's font and colors.
Will Hatsembly change my other product pages?
No. Hatsembly products use the product page template you choose on Settings. Make a copy of your product template first and choose the copy, and every other product keeps its page as it is.
Products
Why is the patch color not a variant?
Each hat model and hat color is a variant, because that is what you stock. The patch color is chosen on the product page and travels on the order line, so a design with many patch colors doesn't multiply into hundreds of variants. Customers can still filter by patch color: see Filter by patch color.
A model I added is not on the Shopify product.
Save the product in the Product Builder, then use Sync with Shopify from the product's menu on Finished Products.
Can I sell on TikTok Shop and other channels?
Yes. For channels that can't show the live viewer, Hatsembly can create a Shopify native product with a picture for each combination, made from saved mockup combos.
The letters look squeezed.
The text is fitting its box. Drag a side handle to make the box wider. Letters never stretch wider than their own shape, so a wide box only leaves room around them.
A font shows as "Unknown font".
Reload the Product Builder. If it still shows, the font was removed from Design Assets; upload it again.
On your storefront
A character the customer typed vanished.
Only what the text field allows goes on the hat: letters, numbers, and the special characters you listed. Add the character to the list under Text fields in the Product Builder, then Save product.
Does checkout show the hat the customer built?
On Shopify Plus, yes. On other Shopify plans, checkout shows the picture of the chosen hat color, while the cart and the order show the built hat.
Your data
Who can see my files?
Only you, in the app. Your hat photos, patch files, and customers' uploaded logos are kept in private storage. Your storefront shows only the files that a product on Shopify uses, and a customer's logo only through their own cart and order.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Your products, library, and files stay for 48 hours, so reinstalling within that time loses nothing. After 48 hours, Shopify tells Hatsembly to erase your store, and everything Hatsembly holds for you is deleted: every product recipe, library file, hat photo, and uploaded logo. Products already on Shopify stay on Shopify.
A customer asked for their data to be deleted.
Erase the customer in Shopify. Hatsembly then deletes the logos they uploaded and the pictures of the hats they built for the orders Shopify names. Hatsembly stores no customer names, emails, or addresses. See the privacy policy.
